We had the chance to test drive the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 is able to suppress the sound of traffic and wind driving on the highway. It is smooth on ruts and humps. The acceleration is surprisingly quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by lifting off of the accelerator.
The EV9 has excellent range and can be fully recharged in about three hours at home or using any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two modes of operation that include eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode focuses on torque and cruise control, while the sport mode increases speed and handling.
